Voter Registration
There are a few ways in which you can go about voting. If you wish to vote in your home district, you must call the Board of Elections in your home county to obtain an absentee ballot. If you would like to vote in the New Brunswick area, you must cancel your home registration first. Then, you can call either the Middlesex County Board of Elections at (732) 745-3471 (or your local board of elections) or NJPIRG, which runs voter registration drives, at (732) 932-7131. In-person voter registration must be done by October 10; absentee ballot registration must be done by November 1. If you are already registered in New Brunswick and would like to know voting locations, call the City Clerk's Office at (732) 745-5040. If you are already registered, you might also be interested in contacting Project Vote Smart. This is a nonpartisan, nonprofit resource center that provides voters with information on elected officials and other important free services. They can also be reached at (800) 622-SMART from 8am to 8pm, Monday through Friday. |
