Food & Mobile Pantry

ATTENTION!!! - Create an account on PantrySoft prior to stopping by the food pantry. If you need assistance, we also have tablets available to register on in the pantry. Students are able to use only one of the following food pantry methods once per week. 

Rutgers Student Food Pantry 

College Avenue Student Center, 126 College Ave, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 Room 112

All students must make an appointment in the Pantrysoft system ahead of time if they wish to visit between the hours of 12pm-4pm. Appointments can be made for the current week starting on Sundays at noon. From 4pm-5 or 4pm-7pm we will have open walk-in hours available. Students may visit the pantry, lockers, or the mobile pantry once per week. 

Spring 2025 Hours of Operation: 

  • Monday: CLOSED
  • Tuesday:  12 p.m. – 5 p.m. (appointment only, walk-ins 4pm-5pm)
  • Wednesday: 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. (appointment only 12pm-4pm, walk-ins 4pm-7pm)
  • Thursday: 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. (appointment only 12pm-4pm, walk-ins 4pm-7pm)
  • Friday: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. (appointment only, walk-ins 4pm-5pm)

Mobile Food Pantry: Wednesdays 1 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.


Knight's Pantry Basic Needs Box

Order online for New Brunswick Rutgers Students Only. Orders are accepted Monday-Friday 5:00 p.m-11:59 p.m.

Orders placed for weekend pick-up must be placed by Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the latest.

The Knight's Pantry Basic Needs Box is for students who are not able to visit the pantry during the normal hours of operation. Please register and order through PantrySoft. Orders will NOT contain perishable items.

Important information to consider:

  • You can order up to 15 items for the Basic Needs Box. 
  • This order counts as your food pantry visit for the week. 
  • Only non-perishable items can be selected for pick-ups. No bread, produce, meats, etc. can be ordered. 
  • Orders must be placed at least a day before the intended pick-up day.

How to use the Knight's Pantry Basic Needs Box:

  1. Register in PantrySoft or log in if you have an existing account. 
  2. Select "After Hours Knight's Pantry Basic Needs Box from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select a time and date for when you would like to pick up an order.
  4. Select the non-perishable items you would like.
  5. Once you are ready to pick up, scan the QR code on the locker and follow the instructions provided.
  6. Once you have picked up your order, make sure to close the locker.

Mobile Pantry Hours of Operation

 
  • Wednesdays: Douglass, Busch, & Livingston (appointments preferred, walk-ins welcome) between 1:45 - 4:15pm.
    • 1:45 - 2:15pm - Near Voorhees Chapel
    • 2:30 - 3:00pm - Busch Campus - Across from BEST Hall (Lot 66A)
    • 3:15 - 3:45pm - Busch Campus/Graduate & Family Housing (Lot 58D) 
    • 4:00 - 4:15pm - Livingston Campus - Yellow Lot (behind Qdoba)
  • To schedule a pickup with the mobile pantry, create an account on PantrySoft. Requests need to be made by Tuesday at 5 pm.
